Friends are like flowers, they come to our life to add fragrance and flavors. We laugh with friends, we cry with friends, we argue with them and we agree with them. Sometimes we fight too but all the wars are just a game of mind as our hearts are always connected. My life is full of friends who encourage me, inspire me,pamper me,tease me, support me a lot in my bad time and treasure me the way I am and so I am writing this article for all those lovely friends who became a part of my life.

I would like to dedicate this article to all my female friends as now I understand how much important they are for me.

I was a kind of girl who was more comfortable talking to boys than girls and even I am but I learned few things from my life and my lovely doctor which changed my view of friendship. There was an incident when I was sick because of stressful life and my doctor asked me “do you talk to your friends?” and when I replied “yes sometimes.” she said “See this is important. When we are teenager we need friends to hang out and have fun but once we grow up we need friends to share, to get support and to get strength. May I know names of your friends?” and when I listed them she said “It seems you have more Mars than Venus in your life but I am happy that still you have couple of female friends.” she added “you might feel odd but the truth is female friends are more supportive than mars. you may feel your wavelength doesn’t match with females, you may not appreciate the TV shows, you may not like those gossips but you still have couple of females in your life that means there are females who too are like you. so don’t think much and talk to your female friends as often as you can.”

She explained me really well with logic and here is the reasoning she gave me for “Why shall we have female friends in our life?”

Good listener: Yes unbelievable but this is truth. Women are better listener than men. They listen as well as they remember it too and they have tender heart like you so if you will find a good female friend, she will really raise you up in your cloudy days.

Understanding: As we say “if you want to know me live my life” and women shares similar life so they can understand your things in better way as well as can give you hope from their experience especially when you have kids or family topics to talk and discuss.

Stress reliever: When you feel “you are not alone” its easy to accept and cope up with the things which once you felt really hard. Just discuss your problem with your female friend and she will reduce all your stress in just one talk as at the end what do you need other than a person who can listen to you, understand you and accept you the way you are.

Life long friend: Mars have different goals and different life style than Venus and so there may be time when they can’t available for you even if they want  But Venus will be always there for you.

After this conversion when I really implemented her thoughts, I felt my stress level really reduces when I talk to my female friends as I can share any thing and every thing with them as well as its easy to get answer of my problems from their experience. Now I truly feel this is true, doesn’t matter how much good mars are  but the Venus can console you a way more.
